Artist Statement

Art and creativity are my best skills. I portray these skills through frequently changing mediums and styles. The style in which I do art changes frequently because different mediums and subject matter fit different styles. Inconsistency is my constant. Mediums are the same way as they range from ink, charcoal, pencil, watercolor, and more. This being said, my medium of choice is watercolor. Watercolor is delicate but can be layered and reworked and seem effortlessly beautiful. The beauty of the medium can only take art so far, it's the content and intention that means something. Art has always been a way to express myself and a way to safely work through emotions. Recently my arts subject matter is what makes me happy. Incorporating subject matter and themes that invoke happiness in me makes continuing to create worthwhile.
